That’s right VeganSmart co-founder John Lewis, aka Bad Ass Vegan, has created a new flavor! Inspired by his love of strawberries Bad Ass Vegan introduced his new Strawberry Shortcake flavor live on Instagram on December 21st.

“We want to feel like we’re cheating too!” John explains of his choice to create a strawberry shortcake flavor. After a long day of healthy eating choices, it’s nice to feel like you can have your cake and drink it too! BAV Strawberry Shortcake is currently available online only.
The VeganSmart flavors offer enough taste that additional flavors aren’t needed. It is possible to blend two scoops of your preferred VeganSmart flavor and 8 oz of water together and feel completely satisfied with your nutrition shake. If you prefer a creamier consistency like John, add 6 oz of water instead to truly enjoy your VeganSmart flavor!
Not only did the VeganSmart co-founder share his favorite recipe with viewers, but he also shared a bit of his story too. “You don’t get to be 300 lbs without loving food,” John shared about himself before his plant-based lifestyle change 11 years ago. It was important for him to find a way to incorporate great flavors into healthy eating options.
