Today’s post is about getting back into a groove, finding a routine that works for you. Maybe you’re the type of person who doesn’t enjoy working out and you struggle to drag yourself to the gym everyday. Maybe you used to workout often, but your priorities have changed as you’ve gotten older. Maybe you workout regularly, but have noticed you’ve plateaued and are no longer seeing the results you want. If you fit any of these characteristics, it’s time to change it up!

The great thing about exercise is that it comes in all shapes and sizes. From hitting the gym, to hitting the court, there are so many ways to get your heart rate up. If you’re stuck in a fitness rut, try something new, something fun and engaging, something that sparks your interest and will keep you coming back for more. My number one recommendation, take a spin class!

Don’t be intimidated by the idea of indoor cycling. Go in with an open mind and leave wanting more. It’s a great workout, it’s fun, it’s low impact, and it really makes you sweat, what more can you ask for?

When you workout, your body releases serotonin, a chemical in the brain that regulates your mood, appetite, and sleep cycle. The more you exercise, the more serotonin is released into your brain, and the better you feel. The better you feel, the more motivated you are to workout, and the cycle goes on. You just have to find something active that you enjoy doing and you can find a groove that works for you. So go out there, try something new. Take a spin class, get active, get moving, and you’ll get back on track!
