Keeping a plant-based diet around Thanksgiving may be difficult with traditional dishes being based around a turkey, but dessert just got a easier. While making an entirely vegan Thanksgiving dinner is becoming easier to do, dessert may be where many people slip into old habits. Avoid dairy and other traditional dessert for a vegan mousse that is both tasty and good for you!

VeganSmart’s Avocado Cacao Mousse
Ingredients:
4 medium, ripe avocados
1/3 cup raw coconut nectar
1/2 cup raw cacao powder
1 scoop VeganSmart Chocolate
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Directions:
In a blender or food processor, blend the avocados until smooth. Once smooth, add the raw coconut nectar, raw cacao powder, VeganSmart Chocolate, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt into the mixture. Blend the mixture until it is smooth and uniform. Let the mixture chill in the fridge for 2 hours. If you are in a time crunch, place it in the freezer for a half an hour. Once ready garnish with fresh fruits or chopped nuts.
